《青葱》Spring Onion

Spring onion is a symbol of youth and innocence in China. The innocent maiden dances to gods with spring onions, celebrating her youth until she dons the veil, dyes her teeth and breast with black ink, and the white pigeon on her breast turns into a black crow. She devotes her spring onions to the man in gold mask and black robe. The man takes them and whips her with spring onions till she‘s covered in red, then throws the soggy spring onions away.
